SSB Odisha Teacher Exam 2024: The State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha has announced the exam date for the ODisha Teacher Recruitment 2024. Candidates who have applied for the recruitment to the posts of TGT (Arts), TGT (PCM), TGT (CBZ), Hindi Teachers, Classical Teachers (Sanskrit), Urdu Teachers and PET in Non. Govt. fully aided High Schools of Odisha.
“It is for information of all concerned that the written examination for recruitment to the post of Trained Graduate Teachers (Arts, PCM, CBZ), Hindi Teachers, Classical Teachers (Sanskrit), Urdu Teachers and P.E.T.in Non-Government Fully Aided High Schools of Odisha (Advt. No. 01/2024) will be held in three sittings on 07.06.2024 (Friday) at Angul, Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Koraput and Sambalpur Zones,” reads the official notice.
Candidates will have to appear for the written exam on 7 June 2024 in three shifts- Shift 1 (8 am to 10 am), Shift 2 (11:30 am- 1:30 pm) and Shift 3 (3 pm to 5 pm).The notice further reads, “The hall tickets of the candidates will be available on the official website of the State Selection Board, Odisha: www.ssbodisha.ac.in w.e.f 1:00 PM of 01.06.2024. Candidates can check and download their admit cards from the above-mentioned website by entering their ‘Date of Birth’ and ‘Mobile No.'”
As per the schedule, the online registration for SSB Odisha Teacher Recruitment 2024 was open from January 08 to February 07. The selection board aims to fill a total of 2064 vacancies for the posts of TGT-Arts, TGT-PCM, TGT-CBZ, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu Teachers, and PET.
Candidate Selection
We will select candidates based on a two-hour, written Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) test with a total score of 150 points. Each of the 100 questions will be worth 1.5 marks.
Selection Process
Test Performance: The primary selection criterion will be the score achieved in the written test. Candidates with the highest scores will be considered for the positions.
Tiebreaker: If there’s a tie in scores after the written test, we will consider the following factors in sequence to break the tie:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) Percentage: Candidates with a higher percentage in their Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) will be ranked higher.

  • +2/Higher Secondary Percentage: If the tie persists, the percentage of marks obtained in the +2 or Higher Secondary level will be used to break the tie.

  • Matriculation Level Percentage: Finally, the percentage of marks obtained in the Matriculation level will be considered to determine the final selection.
