NEW DELHI: Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) recently declared the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) on its official website at .
According to the data released by the Council, 99.47% of students passed the ICSE examination, while the pass rate for the ISC examination is 98.19%.
Candidates who are dissatisfied with their exam results can request a recheck or re-evaluation of answer scripts for subjects where they believe their grades are not accurate. To initiate a recheck, candidates must pay Rs 1000 per paper (for both ICSE and ISC). Alternatively, a re-evaluation costs Rs 1500 per paper (for both ICSE and ISC).

The recheck module is currently available on the official website, cisce.org. The deadline to submit recheck applications is May 10. Following the release of recheck results, the re-evaluation module will only be available for 24 hours.

How to apply for ICSE, ISC re-checking?

Step 1: Go to the official website of CISCE by visiting cisce.org.
Step 2: Look for the ‘Public Services’ link and click on it.
Step 3: Log in to the CISCE Service Portal using your registered email ID and password.
Step 4: Enter all the required details such as the subject name and paper name.
Step 5: Proceed to make the necessary fee payment.
Step 6: Once payment is completed, submit your application.

Student performance overview for ICSE exam this year
The ICSE Examination is a comprehensive assessment that covers 60 subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 13 foreign languages, and one classical language.
This examination, which runs for 18 days from February 21 to March 28, 2024, provides students with a broad platform to demonstrate their competencies in a variety of disciplines.
A significant number of 2,695 schools took part in the ICSE (Class X) Year 2024 Examination, with an impressive 82.48% (2,223 schools) achieving a 100% pass rate, demonstrating the dedication of both students and educators.
To ensure the smooth operation of the examination and assessment procedures, 2,503 Examination Centres and 709 Evaluation Centres were established. Gender representation was balanced, with 2,43,617 candidates, including 53.57% (1,30,506) boys and 46.43% (1,13,111) girls.
The pass percentage was impressively high at 99.47%, with 2,42,328 candidates passing the exam, indicating the overall proficiency and preparedness of the student body.
